Introduction

Intelligence when demonstrated by machines is known as artificial intelligence as compared to
the natural intelligence displayed by humans.

  • Artificial Intelligence can be categorized into several stages, depending upon the role they play:
  1. Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI): Performs only specific tasks as per the instructions provided only on specified data like Google Assistant, Alexa, Siri etc.
  2. Artificial General Intelligence (AGI): Has the capability to mimic human intelligence and can make decisions like humans. The concept is still not realized in real world where humans can interact with machines in a manner like the way they interact with their fellow humans.
  3. Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI): A super intelligent system is highly intelligent system that can make decisions even better than humans. This means that these systems can surpass human capabilities. No Such systems exist in real world and are part of only fiction stories. Jarvis in Iron man can be considered a super intelligent system which can make decisions even better than humans.
Superintelligence refers to the hypothetical future state where machines surpass human intelligence and become capable of outperforming humans in virtually every cognitive task. It has the capability to eclipse human intelligence in areas, such as scientific creativity, social skills, and general wisdom.This concept has captured the imagination of scientists, philosophers, and technologists alike. It is a kind of system that rapidly increases its intelligence over a period such that it can surpass the cognitive capability of humans.
